Penn State Architectural Engineering Student Available to Volunteer in Chile This Summer: Searching for Summer Volunteer Position
Here is Brian's message:
"My name is Brian B. I am currently a sophomore architectural engineering student at Penn State. When the earthquake struck Chile a few weeks ago, I wondered if there was a way that I could use my knowledge of building to help the people of Chile rebuild and gain building experience. Volunteering in Chile would be a great way for me to learn about construction and help people in need. I would be interested in helping out this coming summer. Please contact me with any information on summer volunteering programs....."
If there is any organization going to Chile on a rebuilding mission trip, please contact me at helpchilequake@gmail.com
We say thanks to Brian for wanting to volunteer this Summer in Chile. We need more volunteers like him.
Write to us at helpchilequake@gmail.com if you are interested in having such a very important helper.

Cash-strapped, recession-hit fellow Americans or people of the world do not have money to pay a service to be able to ask for money. If they had money, they would not be on http://post2beg.blogspot.com. How about helping a neighbor without thinking about any return or payment in kind? Have we forgotten to be Good Samaritans?
We, Post2Beg editors, want to continue to make this service available for free. We want to help as many people as possible. We want to connect you with those who have some money to donate.

Mapuche Communities Complain about Abandonment Feelings and Lack of Assistance
It is true the government of Chile is doing its best to get the situation under control. It is doing its best to help all its citizens. So far, some of the remote Mapuche communities have not been reached by all the government teams and supplies sent to the devastated central-south regions. Yet, they were the most hit by the Feb. 27 quake. The delay may be due to the remoteness of the areas or has nothing to do with the past uprisings and hijackings that were common in the areas since the Mapuche indigenous groups have formed their alliance. Find out more about the plight of the Mapuche natives after the quake. Everyone hopes that the government will do its best to meet these urgent needs. At the same time, we hope that the Mapuche will lay down their arms so as to avoid any incidents. Basic needs are the priority right now.
